"L-Lyra? What's wrong?"

Her girlfriend choked on a sob, then let out a weak chuckle. "I'm so sorry, D.D., I'm so sorry...I hate crying in front of you."

Ditzy Doo nodded. "What happened?"

Lyra wiped at her eyes, then hung her head. "It's BonBon." (Ditzy felt her heart sink.) "We got in a fight. I think. I guess. It was about Roseluck."

Ditzy tilted her head, not expecting them to actually fight. "What did you say?"

Lyra laughed again, not missing the tease. "I didn't really say anything! I just.. she's my friend, and I don't like her that way anymore but...I know we broke up ages ago but I guess it still hurts, D. D." She looked lost for a moment and Ditzy waited. Finally she admitted, "Bonnie said Rose was a lot like me, if-if I was more normal. If I wasn't so weird."

LyraDoo Day 5-- in which everything is rushed because I have to leave for work, but have some angst? The story isn't at all what I had planned [I skipped the part where they threaten to break up] but I hope it gets the point across.

This is one of the parts of their story that I'm interested in getting to. There's no romantic stuff going on with LyraBon [although Ditzy sometimes fears this], and while both of them are still really good friends, their break up left a sort of secret bitterness between them that Lyra especially can't shake.

That said, don't think BonBon's being a bitch or anything. Lyra could have easily started it.

I'll give this a proper coloring eventually.
